Learning a foreign language as your skill can help you grow in your career. There are many languages in the world one of them is Korean. This page will let you start the journey to learn Korean. Before we start learning Korean lets know some of the details about this language.

Koreans being getting popular day by day because of the K-stuff such as K-pop and K-drama many people tend to learn this language. This language is considered to be one of the most difficult language to learn because of its own language writing system. Korean Language has its own writing system having its own alphabets and a different writing system. But it is easy to memorize the Korean alphabets.

Korean language is knowns Hangugo (한국어) in Korean. Whereas Korean alphabets are known as Hangeul (한글) in Korean. In the name Hangeul (한글), han (한) means 'Korean' and geul (means letter'. It has 40 letters in total. In which 21 are vowels and 19 are consonants. Further the vowels are divided into simple and compound vowels.

10 simple vowels + 11 compound vowels = 21 vowels

Also the consonants are divided into simple and double consonants.

14 simple consonants + 5 double consonants = 19 consonants

While learning any language it takes patience and time. It’s is not like instant 2-minutes food. It takes about years to be fluent in any language you want to speak. Korean Alphabets (Vowels)

  Vowels Korean Alphabets Vowels (Simple Vowels) Here are the Korean alphabets. You have to learn vowels first. Vowels are easy to memorize. The vowels in Korean are divided into simple and compound vowels. 10 simple vowels + 11 compound vowels = 21 vowels Here are the simple vowels. ㅏ  a ㅑ  ya ㅓ  eo ㅕ  yeo ㅗ  o ㅛ  yo ㅜ  u ㅠ  yu ㅡ  eu ㅣ  i These are the simple vowels which you need to memorize. It’s just a start of learning Korean. Do keep memorizing it until you become familiar with all of them. You will be using it further in making the letters at than the words. Here the letters and words are known as blocks and syllables. Vowels are never written as they are above. It has to written with at least one of the consonants.
